His Grace Mar Benyamin Elya, Bishop of Victoria and New Zealand today convened the first Diocesan clergy conference at the Bishopric of the Assyrian Church of the East in Victoria.
The meeting was attended by 11 Victoria-based Deacons along with the Victorian parish priests.
His Grace imparted his episcopal blessings on the assembly of clergy reinforcing that all are called to serve Almighty God and His holy church. His Grace also noted the importance of being examplars of the Christian faith and of Christian values in daily life.
This meeting was the first of many future such meetings for the glory of God and the uplifting of the holy church.
